Associates Degree preferred either Electrical or Electronic.
Minimum H.S. Grad plus one year technical/trade school electrical/electronic.
Ability to work in and around high power and high voltage testing
Able to trouble shoot and repair using analog and digital circuitry
Good mechanical aptitude - able to perform basic plumbing, wiring and able to use basic hand tools, ie; drill, wrench, screw driver, etc.
Must be able to do electrical soldering.
Good basic math skills - adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, working with fractions and transposing equations.
Must be able to perform basic trigonometric functions using a calculator.
Must maintain a safe working environment for oneself and co-workers at all times.
Must have good communication skills.
Able and willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime.
Able to accurately measure readings from analog type measuring instruments, ie: multimeter, powermeter and temperature meter, etc.
Know basic operation of analog/digital oscilloscope.
Able to read and follow wiring diagrams and schematics.
Able to solder and braze (plumbing).
Able to operate overhead crane.
Able to drive forklift.
Able to operate the plant generators as required.
Occasional travel.
Must be able to distinguish between colors and have good perception.
Must be able to climb ladder up to 10 feet and stand for 8 hours.
Must make us aware if you have a metal prosthesis or other metal body parts (due to inductive field).
The maximum weight to be lifted will be based on NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) guidelines based on specific lift conditions.
Able to climb up to 16 feet.
Able to use catwalk.
