Careers: Industrial Senior Buyer/Procurement Agent

BS or BA degree (with 2-3 experience) or 5-7 years experience as a buyer in a manufacturing environment. Low voltage & High voltage, Electrical & Electronic components purchasing experience required. Some experience in purchasing metal fabrications, machined parts preferred.

Essential Functions:

• Must have good organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

• Must be a self starter and work in a fast pace environment.

• Must have excellent negotiation and communication skills.

• Must be able to assume responsibility without direct supervision.

• Must be able to exercise initiative and good judgment.

• Must be able to make decisions within the scope of assigned authority.

Non-Essential Functions:

• Familiar with AS400/MRP Database.

• Mircosoft Word, Excel.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or wiring schematics.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit for long periods

• Must be able to traverse the building

• Must be able to use public transportation, ie: plane, train, bus, etc.

• Occasional travel (must have a valid driver’s license).

• Must disclose any surgical implants, pins, braces or other devices that could be affected by induction fields.

Non-Essential Physical Requirements:

• The maximum weight to be lifted will be based on NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) guidelines based on specific lift conditions.
