Careers: Development Electronics Engineer

Candidate should have a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Highly specialized knowledge of power electronics, particularly, techniques and topologies related to single phase resonant inverters based on IGBTs.

  • Advanced level expertise in and knowledge of technologies, schemes and controls in the design and development of inverters using IGBTs.

  • Extensive experience in dealing with IGBTs, drivers and protection circuits.

  • First-hand knowledge and experience in design and development of IGBT-based inverters from concept to installation.

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Strong communication and follow-up skills.

  • Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment.

  • The ability to interact with all levels of management.

  • Strong presentation skills in person and on the telephone.

  • Able to work with both U.S. and metric units of measure.

  • Familiar with Excel and Lotus.

  • Able to read electric schematics.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Must be able to see and read printed word.

  • Must be able to see, read, write, speak and understand English.

  • Must be able to use public transportation, ie: plane, train, auto, etc.

  • Must disclose any surgical implants, pins, braces or other devices that could be affected by induction fields.

  • Must be able to work any shift.

Non-Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Good dexterity to permit getting in and around equipment.

  • Able to climb and reach above head.

  • The maximum weight to be lifted will be based on NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) guidelines based on specific lift conditions.
